Aadhaar data can't be used to update NPR: Govt to Parliamentary panel

The Union government has told the parliamentary standing committee on home affairs that Aadhaar database cannot be used for updating the National Population Register (NPR) as neither can consolidated details of a family be obtained nor can a family structure be created using Aadhaar.
