6 GHz band: The next battleground for telcos and tech companies

On one side are global tech biggies such as Google, Meta, Amazon, Microsoft, Cisco, Qualcomm, Intel and Netflix. ​​​On the other – telcos, Reliance Jio, Bharti Airtel and Vodafone Idea. The tech giants want the 6 GHz band delicensed to boost affordable broadband connectivity across rural India via WiFi.
