Milan Kovac, the head of Tesla's Optimus humanoid robot program, announced his resignation on X, citing the need to spend more time with family abroad. Kovac, who led the program since 2022, will be immediately replaced by Ashok Elluswamy, who currently leads Tesla's autopilot teams. Musk has emphasized the importance of Optimus and autonomy for Tesla's long-term valuation.
