CS Chua, president and MD of German chipmaker Infineon Technologies Asia Pacific, said that the escalating trade tensions under US President Donald Trump’s tariff regime have created deep uncertainty for the global semiconductor industry. In an interview with ET, he said that long-term growth trajectory for semiconductors is robust, policy instability has left manufacturers reluctant to make sudden structural changes.
