BonV Aero, a deeptech startup, develops logistics drones for the defense sector. After supplying 20 drones to the Indian Army and achieving 300% growth in FY24, it raised $1.6 million on the US television show Meet the Drapers. It launched Air Orca, an autonomous logistics drone platform, with investor Tim Draper. Incubated under STPI’s Leap Ahead program, the startup benefited from mentoring and funding initiatives that support tech innovation in India’s tier-2 and tier-3 cities, fostering grassroots entrepreneurship.
