The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and the U.S. cyber watchdog agency CISA stated that China-linked hackers intercepted surveillance data intended for American law enforcement agencies following breaches of an unspecified number of telecom companies. Hackers linked to a Chinese intelligence agency were able to breach T-Mobile as part of a prolonged campaign to spy on the cellphone communications of high-value intelligence targets.
