Indian startup funding barely moved the needle in 2025, even as dealmaking stayed busy beneath the surface. Total funding stood at $9.8 billion year-to-date, marginally lower than $10.1 billion in 2024, as gains in growth-stage rounds were offset by a sharp pullback in late-stage private capital.
