Microsoft to offer rival AI models from own datacentre; launches AI coding agent

At its Build conference, Microsoft announced it will host AI models from xAI, Mistral, and Black Forest Labs in its own data centres. It also unveiled a new coding agent in GitHub Copilot and introduced Azure Foundry, enabling businesses to build custom AI agents using their preferred models with improved reliability.
